That's right, Bill. I've been told by a geologist that it is actually unusual that material is readily identifiable as kimberlite in the field (unlike what you might see made available for viewing at trade shows!). It's usually grey mud, green mud or brown mud at the site. No expert geologist would risk the repercussions (both legally and professionally) of making an immediate definitive proclamation either way w/o an analysis, imo.

Most of AB kimberlite that's been seen so far is reportedly just that, mud, and a field determination just can't accurately be made. The select outcropping pipe that Ashton had on their property has partly led to this unrealistic expectation. It just doesn't generally happen that way!
