OK here's my comparative study for tonight--relative price comparisons of several offshore drilling companies (ESV,MDCO,FLC,NE,RIG and GLM)

Look at the relative performances over the last year, 6 months, 1 month, etc. Note the generally better performance of the companies with heavier deep drilling emphasis. Also, notice the lag of ESV through almost all time periods. Unless you figure there is something dramatically worse about ESV and its upcoming earnings performance, you can make the case that this is dramatizing ESV as relatively undervalued and likely to outperform as it plays catch-up with the rest.
