SEC form 144 (intended sale of restricted securities/stock by an insider) was filed by an insider on March 24th. This insider must be really panicky - this can only harm the morale of the battered longs. Filing this form does not necessarily mean that it will be followed by insider selling - however I found the timing for this filing unusual considering that ALTIF came out with a PR (on March 18) with the following comment - "It is not the intent of any Altair insiders to sell into a declining market," said Dr. Long Over the next week I am expecting to see evidence to reinforce my prediction of future downside - The March Short interest should show an increase over February. - ALTIF should be filing their 10-K anyday now. Even though this is for the year ending September 30,1997 - they must report any significant changes in the stock ownership from the close of the qtr/year to the day of filing - We should see proof that the debentures are yet to be converted.
