Mark, where in the world do you get your numbers? Please be so kind as to tell me where you can buy a 433Mhz Alpha system configured as you specify for $10K. I visited the DEC website and couldn't find any mention of a 433MHz workstation even available for purchase, let alone for $10K. I did see a 366MHz system advertised for about $25K, however. Also, could you do me a favor and do your calculations WITHOUT the monitor. A 21" monitor probably runs about $1900 and would account for about a third of the cost of the Intel based system you mentioned above. Of course $1900 is a far smaller percentage of the Alpha system.
