jtechkid:

From your comments on this and a few other SI threads, I for one can only conclude that you are somewhat bitter for missing the recent rallies in stocks. It is totally understood as I am sure we all have experienced the same feeling. And almost in all cases and with all of us who have gone through what you are going through at this time it is a bitter feeling toward the market and one always tries to come up with some justification to rationalize his/her decision to just sit on the side line or go against the trend while the rally is taking place.

You see when it comes to investment one thing I have learned after so many years of being in the market is that most people view their investment decisions as tightly close to their ego! No one wants to admit the investment decision they have made is wrong because their ego forces them to think that by admiting to their wrong investment thinking others might think of them as stupid! Thus it is most often the ego that drives their investment thinking and not logic! And in your case and what you are going through it is obvious that you are suffering from what is known as trying to rationalize your investment decisions to satisfy your ego. And there is of course absolutely nothing wrong with that! This happens to both amatures as well as professional investors.

Good Luck with your struggle to satisfy your ego.

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi
