what is nice about comverge is that they got multiple ways to convay signal

in israel over electrical wire.

from lucent on regular phone and cable that what lucent developed and comverge bought it all

and over cellular see recent deal with bell atlantic cellular.

so they do not depend only on radio signal, can reach rural area as well.
