Ignacio, I am aware of Gold's idea that oil may be primordial. I am also aware of the differences between Mars and Earth. The differences are mainly caused by the differences in size. Mars has a thicker crust because a smaller body cools more rapidly than a larger one, therefore there are no plate tectonics. There was clearly volcanism and running water in the past. Some of that water had to reach the interior. There are no longer active volcanoes, but there is still plenty of heat in the interior. Life will be found there.

On Europa, it is virtually a certainty. There will be creatures that evolved there that will be similar to the ones living under our polar caps.
