Oct-4-96 ATNA RESOURCES: LYNX ZONE DRILL RESULTS EXCEED EXPECTATIONS Highlights: * Spectacular grades greatly exceeded expectations (with up to 33% zinc, 0.15 oz/t gold and 19 oz/t silver) * Arial extent of Lynx zone is now greater than that of the original Wolverine zone * Average ore grade intersections in the Lynx zone are 80% thicker than Wolverine average * Conservatively estimated, Lynx zone has the potential to more than triple the original high-grade tonnage to more than 9.0 million tonnes or 12 years of mine life at 2000 tonnes per day * Most scenarios suggest annual project revenue of about US$100 million after smelting and transportation charges, implying NPV (discounted 10%) of about $7.50 per ATN share * BUY (2); one-year target $7.50 I had a chat with Micheal Williams (IR for ATN) yesterday. Can expect assay results from hole #70 (Lynx zone) later this week or early next. Revised reserve estimate will be out mid November. Within the next month or two a $15 million underground bulk sampling program will be announced. He also mentioned that Atna has recently been approached by a number of companies regarding joint ventures in South America, namely Peru. Nothing will be announced until negotiations are well under way. All in all things are looking very rosy for Atna right now! Happy investing, Dan P.S.
