Joe, the writing does seem to be on the wall. The x86 market is becoming a commodity one. I wouldn't be surprised to see what happened to Micron also happen to Intel. But, while Intel's margins are crashing, they are very solid financially. If Intel wants to avoid big problems, then they should learn from Apple and IBM and steer away from proprietary platforms - the marketplace hates proprietary hardware platforms and protocols. Except Microsoft!
