Good morning, just thought I'd throw in my two cents here and see what you think.
Amazon has done a great job in informing many companies that this software exists
but I think we or Sideware should take it a step further. Specific applications or uses
have to be identified to these companies , to justify their investment. I think if we now focused
on what the benefits are and the potential cost saving would be , then companies may buy in a lot
sooner.
One example : I just bought a Dell home computer and during the initial set-up I had to call Dells
Technical Support Line to work out a few bugs. The questions were fairly simple but heres the
problem. I called in on an 800 number and sat in Que [ on hold ] for around 15 minutes, drove me nuts,
they then answered my question in 5 seconds and away I went.
800 service is very expensive to these companies but they have to offer it as part of the service to their
customers. Now what if they purchased Net Notions and offered on-net technical support. Users could
download Hotnotions , go to the companies web site and ask questions real-time. Their Tech Support
could answer questions alot quicker, therefore your customers are satisfied with the service. The
company could significantly reduce their 800 service charges and use that money to offset the cost of
Net Notions. Seems like a win win situation to me.
I'm sure there are technical issues to resolve , to allow this to happen but I'm also sure its viable.
Any company with 800 service Technical Support could use this application.
It will only take one major company to buy into this concept , then the product will sell itself. Lots of
opportunities out there we just have to go get them.
