For what it's worth, I'm familiar with Richard Ney. He has a brief 5/10 minute segment on the Business Channel (channel 22 in Orange County, CA) in the morning and continually talks about stocks being manipulated by MM's and Specialists. Based upon his belief in market manipulation, and a proprietary stock picking system he's created, you can buy/sell stocks based upon the MM's and Specialists recent activity. I've never really understood him though because:

1. He talks in riddles. This guy can talk for 5 minutes and you don't know what he's said or where he's going with the conversation. It's as if he's trying to lead you someplace but you just never seem to get there. I've been frustrated several times trying to make sense of what he's saying but usually end up changing the channel to CNBC.

2. I've never seen him actually explain the methodology behind his MM/Specialist presentations. Instead, it seems as if he's always pushing the audience towards his newsletter. Maybe there's a master newsletter that he's created that explains his theory?

To me, Richard Ney seems like he knows what he's talking about but it doesn't really matter because of his inability to explain it to a general audience. He's also trying awfully hard to sell his newsletter. I did a search for him on the web and didn't find anything so I doubt that he's published a book on his theory.
