In retrospect, I did see these estimates about 1 month ago. I think they were underestimating the earnings for the next quarter, since SMSC reported that even with the payout for the litigation settlement, they were expectibg to be profitable in the next quarter. The analyst estimate was for only break-even (and this did not include the charge).

I am holding my shares, if the stock reached 12 or so again, I may sell some puts (usually good for a dollar or two.
