It is good to have you aboard and allow me to say right up front that gregor, the initiator of this thread is a fine man and you will sincerely enjoy his posts.

Now that I got through the formalities, I want to say that I enjoyed your post....and would like to say that in General it was a post filled with common sense....and common sense is needed in this sometimes unbalanced world.

IMO I don't believe that most people turn away from Christianity because of any rules of the church or man that they may perceive as constraining....I believe from what I have seen and heard that most people turn away from Christianity solely because their way of living does not
measure up to what God would expect of them, and are totally unwilling to be obedient to God! and of course there are 100's of other reasons too...but all are just excuses.
and consider this;
John 6:44-45
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

The problem with many people, many christians included Grant, is that they do not see homosexuality as being even immoral.
