Would agree. Either these giant phone switch vendors or one of the
big networking vendors will decide that time to market is more critical
and decide to make a move via an accquistion in this space.
Clear signs of the convergence of data and voice over one IP
based network can also been seen in the frantic efforts and extensive
R&D being devoted by ASND /BAY / COMS /CSCO in enabling their
switches to handle SS7(the dominant PSTN protocol)
