Response from Sandisk on NT drivers for CF card readers.
I got these two emails so far after enquiring about CF card readers which work under Windows NT:

Steve,
I agree, the serial down-load is a long process. ImageMate is currently offering Windows 95 support, as you know. We are currently working hard to complete a NT version, tentitivley scheduled for release on April 16th.
Currently, NT is compatible with CompactFlash when:
1. A user has a laptop. (All laptops have 2 TYPE II PCMCIA sockets)
2. A user has a desktop with a TYPE II PCMCIA card reader.
Both scenerios are used with NT native software support, which does not support hot swapping of the CompactFlash.
3. Award, Systemsoft, and Phoenix all offer NT 4.0 PCMCIA drivers that offer easy installation, and HOT SWAPPING.
(NT 4.O PC Card / PCMCIA Drivers) Hot Swapping Typical PC Card / PC Card Reader Setup Installation Much easier compatibility. Suggested NT DRIVER COMPANIES:
SystemSoft 508-651-0088
Phoenix 714-440-8000
Award 415-968-4433
4. NT 5.0 ( I do not know when it will be released ) will offer hot swapping.
I will continue to check and see what CompactFlash only readers offer NT support. I believe SanDisk will offer full NT support within 30 days.
Regards, Don

Check out the Sandisk web page here:
sandisk.com
These are mfrs who offer PC Card (formerly PCMCIA) slot add-ons for what I take to be desktop machines. I have actually seen a desktop here with a PC Card slot on the front. With the PC Card adaptor you should be able to read the CF card as well. I have no further info on NT driver availability for any of these, sorry.
