Could be. I've done it myself, though not for Deswell. You tell a broker, who is also a MM, to "work" a large order. They call around and find a buyer. It helps if the MM has been active in placing that particular stock, so they know who to call. Otherwise, they just flip it to another MM, who does have a buyer (one of the reasons NASDAQ volume double and triple counts each trade). Usually works better than trying to sell in 1,000 share lots by hitting the bid.
