To add a bit to Greg's post on Chrome...

<<< By relying on computational power, Chrome will be able to render 3-D graphics much like those seen on ABC's Monday Night Football, Engstrom said.>>>>
Our local news article also states that Twentieth Century Fox ,Disney, and other major corporations have been preparing Chome versions of their Web sites for months, that Chome will run only
on computers with 350+ mhz speeds, and that Intel will ship those
chips in time for Christmas.
Chrome is scheduled for release in August.
Looking at those dates, many stores start ordering Christmas goods in July, after Sept is often too late to be assured of getting the goods so I assume Intel is working hard to get the new chips delivered.
This will be a good excuse for people who want the latest and best, and to be able to run Chrome, to upgrade or buy a new computer.
IMO there will be a demand for computers with even higher speeds than we have today.
