Alcatel figures: I said it was number one because I heard so. To be honest, I didn't make additional research. However, here are the 97 figures as presented by the firm: Total revenue: $30.3 B Telecom: $13.9 B Cables and components: $7.9 B Systems: $4.6 B GEC-Alsthom: $5.6 B I consider that the two first segments and part of the third can be considered as linked to the telecom activity. That's roughly $24B, which still makes it the number one in class, if we compare to the figures you gave. But the real point is that Alcatel is a major player in telecom. And the last CEO speech stressed that it will focus on it So it should probably be given more importance in the US stock market in the next years
