Bob The problem is that it is not computerized at all. It has no feed-back loop or sensor . You could characterize it as simply a motor attached to a plunger with two forward speeds and one reverse speed. And that beeping sound it makes-- why would a dentist want his patients to hear that beeping to indicate the speed that he pumping the juice into them? The Wand does not have the ADA Seal of Approval either. A spokesperson for the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs (800-621-8099 ext 2534) said the approval process is confidential; but you can ask the right questions and read between the lines. If you own this stock you better hope they sell lots of toothbrushes and prophy paste.
