to all . . . Boy, McCoy sure knows how to crash a party. Get your hat back EP!

Serious question! I've got an old 486DX, win 3.1 and want to get a better, faster, bigger, newer (ie CPQ) box. :)
I will be using this mainly for stock trading, tracking, charts, etc, and will also use spreadsheets and wordprocessing (ie WordPerfect; with win 95/98, probably MSFT office). Want lots of disk space and memory w/expansion capabilities, zip-drive, and all that neat stuff for DVD, etc.
What should I get??!! Should I hold off til win 98 comes out, or buy now cheap and upgrade?
Obviously, I'm not a techie, so keep it in layman's terms, please.
Can you guys give me suggestion? BTW, I am partial to CPQ.

Thanx in advance, Challo

PS. Just heard on CNBC that the sky is falling! Oppenheimer analyst said (and I quote) that "THE BULL MARKET IS OVER ! ! Maybe not on Monday, but within the next few days."

PPS. Maybe I don't need a new computer after all <VBG>
