Windows 98 will not offer enough to warrant a change for anyone other than those techies (like myself) that want to play with the "latest and greatest". There is a lot of web integration with W98. Most of the advances seem to be geared to those workstations with a direct connect internet connection. There are some other goodies thrown in but not enough to make the frustration of upgrading worth it... IMO.

Microsoft has begun seeing a very interesting problem begin to appear....upgrades and future revenue. Their two of their 3 staples, NT, Windows 95 and Office are nearing the end of their migratory lives. NT still has plenty of room to grow but Office and W95 arguably are about done. This has been becoming a hot topic of late. Where to upgrade next, when most don't use more than 15% of an OS and word processing suite as is. Interesting dilemma, that is one of the reasons I like our beloved CPQ and other hardware vendors...functional obsolescence which results in a steady revenue stream.....hopefully.

Luck to ya.

Jeff
