Here's a post from from earlier today posted on AOL's NVXE message board... I wonder if there is anyway to get involved in future dives/filming on the Titanic? I suspect the opportunity doesn't come along very often given the expense involved with getting to the ship, but maybe someone at NVXE should plant a seed with the company that has the rights to film the wreckage.

Subject: 3D u/w film of Titanic

I saw news last week that there is a 3D film of the Titanic wreck underwater. The clip they showed was taken inside of the wreckage by RMS Titanic's underwater ROV. At this moment the film is only being shown at the Smithsonian in DC.

RMS Titanic Inc is a public company ( SOST ) and has exclusive rights to film the wreckage and raise artifacts. I live near Tampa and have been to see one of their artifact exhibits in St. Peterburg... you have to wait 2 hours in line to get in... at $15/person. The movie hype has created a Titanic craze to see the real artifacts at the exhibit. There is u/w film shown at the exhibit but none of it is 3D yet. There is a gift shop setup at the end of the exhibit where you can buy anything from T-shirts, mugs, books, and yes... u/w videos. There were huge lines at the cash registers when I was there.

Does anyone know if NVXE had anything to do with the 3D film shot by RMS Titanic Inc? If not, maybe they should be banging on their door!
