*** 1 STOCK - 1 WEEK *** WEEK 20 RESULTS
Wayne hung on for the win with 14.35% and moved from 7th into
3rd overall with 30 points. After a warm up week, Rudy finished
second with a strong 12.74% gain and moved from 22nd to 14th place
overall. (Wayne would have still won even if he and Wiseowl had not
closed out their positions...24% vs. 20%)....
The hard luck and WOW award for the week goes to Alan, whose SCMM did
an 18 point turnaround today to take his short from second place to
last place...a one day 31% upward stock price move on a $60
stock...don't see it too often absent a takeover.....Richard broke his
string and ended up positive for the first time in 6 weeks....
All the averages were up for the week....average stock price up over
$1, the group average up over 3%, and average player up over 1%. Not
too bad considering that the market began looking pretty weak...
Sometime this weekend, I will get the revised rules posted to be
effective with all trades next week...
Significant New Rule:
(1) will allow averaging up and down one time during the week....if a
player does so, his percentage total, either positive or negative,
will be doubled, which will determine the points awarded...if a player
averages up or down and ends up NSF (down - negative) for the week, it
will be -2 points rather than -1 point. [If it becomes a nightmare to
keep up with, which it shouldn't be, I'll gripe later]
Minor, technical changes:
(2) a stock that has no net movement...i.e., 0%, will get 0 points.
(3) 3 points will begin at 5.00%, 5 points will begin at 10.00%.
