Sam,

Well, I pick $30 based on:

(1) It was $29.75 for the yearly high in last August's Boston
MacWorld, which certainly the resistance level;

(2) It is a big striking price if you look at January 30 '99 option
with a huge number of contracts;

(3) It's reasonable 10% up range if you summarize other stocks
movement before quarter report, Adobe is an obvious example. It
ran up about 10% before yesterday's report;

(4) From Apple's recent price data, it's obvious 10% up or down is
a reasonable range within 1-2 week timeframe.
