MEME: 2 way Internet Wireless modems "WOW!"
Who doesn't want a 2 way completely wireless modem on their computer?
I decided to buy MEME (Media Entertainment, Inc.) Friday for .75 and I would love to get some more lower, however, the MM's are not filling my .687 limit order for a measly 2000 shares more.
So from what I've been reading, this company has both internal and external wireless modems.
The company's modems are completely wireless with FAST throughput speeds.
" 1.) speed - during testing, MEME's Wireless Internet Access System provided a minimum data transmission speed of 64kbs, with data transmission speed capability of up to the equivalent of a T-1 telephone line (that is, the data transmission capability equivalent of 24 ISDN-telephone lines)"
That's fast!
How this is better than cable modems is that:
A.) No cable required.
B.) Business Travelers with laptops can be literally anywhere.
Other advantages to MEME:
C.) Not linked to a cell phone... no high per minute charges
D.) They are charging an unbelieveable $39.95 per month for unlimited internet service.
E.)They are displaying the ability of their wireless service in Dallas, TX on April 2, 1998 at 4:00pm
F.) The float is only 1.2 million and the Outstanding shares a low 6.32 million, Market Cap currently $3.5 million
(I think this technology sounds like its worth more than $3.5 million)
G.) This is a recently new company open to public as an OTC:BB stock as a recent IPO in October 15, 1997. Thereby, literally unknown to the penny stock world.
H.) News releases seem to come every 2-3 weeks.
Disadvantages I see:
1.)I'll assume this company is going to need financing to launch into other markets than the four they are currently in.
2.) Small company means small markets, initially.
However, once they establish themselves in these smaller markets and have some revenues coming in, I think they would be a probably candidate for either a merger or takeover.
Two-Way wireless internet is just to good not for larger companies not to recognize as a profitable venture.
I was very lucky to get into DGIV at .40 on a fallback, I consider myself even luckier if I can get MEME under $1.
I am looking forward to the April 2 demonstration in Dallas, TX !
