Stitch,
our posts crossed. in response to violent agreement, is that less violent as disagreement?
"Ramsey, you accused Holbrook of being a racist. I do not believe he is. I know I am not. But I have been accused of that. It is a convenient charge for anyone to level when they hear criticism that doesn't set well in this situation. Its just too easy to believe that, and to run that flag up the pole IMO. "
There are people who are racist and knowingly want to be racists. Then there are those who by their action are racists but are insensitive to that fact. I was in the second group until my actions are pointed out to me. Now I just accept that it is human nature to treat different races differently and being racists does not require head shaving or cross burning.
"But you also asked whose rules was he reffering to. I will attempt to answer that. I believe that the people who put up the money should set the rules. Its their money. "
I couldn't disagree with you more on that one. It is another supremist statement. I suppose your next statement is going to be "the people with the bigger guns set the rules."
Where is the spirit of cooperation? You are in someone else's country and because you have the money, you set the rules? Just remember that you, WDC, SEG or whoever you work for don't have to be there. If you don't like it, you/your company can always open a factory in New York city, where trash is always picked up on time, where union officials are always fair and abide by the law and cops response in real time to your every needs. Or you can open a factory in east L.A. where you will find thousands of hard workers who will show up to work on time, where you feel comfortable taking your family for a stroll in the neighborhood every day after work, where your car will always be where you parked it in the morning.
You are there because you can pay pennies instead of dollars. You are there because you can make more of that money so you can make more rules. You are there because the forces of nature always try to balance out the inequalities in the world.
