Jim: we have have some answers next week with the end of the Japanese fiscal year. The feds just love massive stock selloffs at tax time.
RE gold fund: Just buy a South Africa gold stock- look at the price/volume charts, you'll see it instantly. Look at PD too. IMHO it's a good time to own an oil driller while they're beaten down, too.
Re interest rates: I just looked at IBD- boyohboy that looks like a reversal in the utilities index....
