Re: You Gotta be Kidding

If you make one or two trades a week, don't kick yourself for buying a stock 1/8 too high

How about kicking oneself because a stock got away while the back office putzes around with a "pending" trade? How about kicking oneself because one cannot even get onto Webbroker? How about kicking oneself when each mouse click is greeted by 20 seconds of wait beyond that imposed by network traffic? How about kicking oneself because Waterhouse's excessively conservative intraday margin calculations can mess up one's trading? Anyway, if you haven't noticed, it's not myself that I'm kicking.

don't really care whether Waterhouse executes in 10 seconds rather in 6

This statement is patently ridiculous. It presumes that the people to whom you are responding are getting upset over four-second delays. That is, at the risk of angering the Web Dieties of Niceness, a crock, and ought not be dignified by further response.

I don't think webbroker/Waterhouse is the real problem.

Nice, condescending statement. Do you possess a clue that someone may take this as provocative?

Let's agree to disagree.

p.s. As I said in prior messages, I am aware that it can get worse than Webbroker. Yes, I still have an account there. So I'm complaining a bit; this is America. Why do our complaints bother you so?
