John,

Many people may not realize just how much of a market may exist in psychiatric practices, as well. The ssri antidepressants in particular, such as prozac, zoloft, paxil, and luvox, very commonly cause sexual side effects, ranging from libido to impotence to anorgasmia. There are a large % of people who respond nicely to the antidepressant but obviously don't want to give up their sex lives, so other meds are often tried for treating the depression or other meds are used to attempt to counteract the side effect, such as periactin, wellbutrin(actually another antidepressant and also known as zyban), etc. However, if viagra helps those with trouble maintaining arousal, it will be a huge help for these people. There will be quite a few people using this medicine combo if so....imagine the chagrin of pfizer to have zoloft and viagra used simultaneously!!! Now if the patient only had allergies and could throw in some zyrtec, they'd be all set.

Most interesting will be seeing just how well third party payers cover viagra.

Regards,

Marshall
