Lloy, it is nice that you dropped by. Welcome to the discussion here.

I do have a couple of comments. My understanding is that not only are there black Jews, but that the ones who have moved to Israel tend to feel discriminated against, and have lowered social status because of their skin color. I cannot remember where I read that, but it was undoubtedly in a newsmagazine.

I also seem to recall that based on what tribes inhabited the Holy Land at the time of Jesus' birth, Jesus' skin would have been quite dark as well, and that he was given a more Caucasian look later by subsequent worshippers who wanted him in their image, not necessarily historically accurate. Of course, that makes any racists using religion to hide behind look particularly stupid.
