The company went public at about $8 and hit a high of $15. The stock price took a dive on two developments:

1. it lost a contract to provide oem printers to IBM's lexmark unit (this accounted for less than 10% of sales)

2. Hewlett packard decided to try to come out with a printer of its own. However, HP is still under contract to buy the consumables from KNTK for at least the next year.

3. KNTK is lining up three new clients (they have not released the names yet because talks are in progress). It is still the market leader in its segment and has a strong balance sheet.

Check out the motley fool. they had a detailed write up on it.
