M2 PRESSWIRE-27 March 1998-TEKTRONIX: Tektronix exhibits digital mastery at NAB '98 in Booth #11614 (C)1994-98 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

At the National Association of Broadcasters' convention in Las Vegas, April 6-9, Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE:TEK) will showcase its Digital Media Foundation (DMF) initiative and a robust set of HDTV-ready Grass Valley products -- all ready and available for broadcasters.

Tektronix will demonstrate its commitment to the digital transition with a combination of new products and technology demonstrations, ranging from networked digital solutions based on the de facto industry standard Profile digital video file server and digital versions of Tektronix' venerable Grass Valley production equipment to the company's new set of digital test and measurement tools.

"The Tektronix booth, with its powerful, open Digital Media Foundation and brand new HDTV products, is a must-stop, must-shop for customers who want to make a successful and practical transition to digital," said Tim Thorsteinson, president, Video and Networking Division. "We are extremely proud this year to offer HD-ready switchers, routers and master control products, as well as an enhanced version of our award-winning Profile with MPEG-2 4:2:2 and improved performance RAID storage. It's a strong showing."
