Dr. Engel and Robert Grutza: After posting what I read on the Microprocessor Report (MR) and reading your posts, I believe you guys are correct. The PII 0.35um die size is 203mm^2. Thus I think the MR article reported the wrong die size; however, they did mention that 0.35um PII at 450MHz was a prototype. <<But the other PIIs are 203mm^2 on 0.35um? 45 watts? Why would they even make this part on 0.35?>> Intel made the 0.35um before they had the 0.25um version working. The 450MHz 0.35um was non saleable type, just experimental parts. Maxwell
