I don't remember who asked about DGIV's Competition, but here is a list of who IpxStream(a great site) feels is out there:
ipxstream.com
ipxstream.com
One of the more comprehensive sites about Internet Telephony. Others enter the game every day, but there are still large areas of this industry that has no direct competitors. DGIV is entering two markets that as of right now, have no one else with any established Internet Telephony connections, in Russia and Indonesia. Competition will be in both soon enough; however, the key is that DGIV has a chance to establish a presence before other entrants into those markets.
Indonesia: biz.yahoo.com Russia: biz.yahoo.com
IDTC goes into Korea: biz.yahoo.com FTEL from China: biz.yahoo.com
And not to be forgotten, eh Rick;-)OZEMY: biz.yahoo.com
They dont announce every country or whether it is all online or not, but the point is this is an exploding marketplace, and having a chance to lay your roots in the international market can make the difference between an IT stock being $3 or $13. In Indonesian, it seems to me that there is only one other Telecom that could align with a competitor and offer rival services to Digitcom, in the short term. This may be incorrect as I havent fully digested everything yet, too many Coronas last night<GGGG>, but if so DGIV is there first and if they only have one competitor who could come into the market quickly, assuming that other entrants would have to apply for specific lisences, then we have a 50%-50% chance of capturing a bulk of the IT makert in Indoesia, I like those odds. Russia is a much more open market and if the competition has yet to announce plans, you can bet they will soon. Thats fine with me as there is no need to capture a bulk of the marketshare in Russia. It is a rich enough market that just caprturing a piece can mean revenues that are substanial for DGIV, relative to our current size and earnings.
And to me that is the key, DGIV does not need to dominate any of these markets to see a solid growth in earnings, in the next year. They only need to make a presence felt, IMO.
If you look short term, it will get bumpier as the price nears 2 and then beyond. It will be a more nerve racking time, as day to day and week to week price swings will get more violent.
Is this the Evil MMs?
No, this the business man who are MMs who understand that volatility, both up and down means more trades, more trades mean more money for a MM, plain and simple, its just good business.
Do MMs manipulate stocks?
Absolutly every day, by placing buys and sells, they move the price up and move the price down, that is their jobs, they make a market. Nothing evil about it.
Nothing Evil in what Alex Wescott did either. It was good business. They shorted against the stock they were recieving, that meant a guarenteed profit, locked in regardless of what happened with the share price. It was the smartest financial move they could make and they made a profit for their investment into DGIV, which provided DGIV with the capital necessary to continue growing and developing their business. Thats venture capital, you receive the money, but it comes at a price, and quite often the share price. I personally like what Wescott did since the share price was driven down so low, before I invested.<GGGGG>
This is just the Street and the Market, nothing personal, its all business. |
