Actually Byron -- PT. Telkom controls the wires for the most part.. & many cellular companies control the air waves... But - since a local call to the gateway for intl calls isn't expensive....(& we are partnered with Indosat - the only other state owned player..) :-) FYI only about 2.1% of people in Indonesia have a telephone - but it is the 4th most populous region in the world.. FYI - I like this "forward looking" page at Digitcoms's site.. digitcom.com
