The short answer is the bunch of press releases issued by the company in that time frame. Thinking the rise in price shows some type of strength in the stock is faulty logic at best. Time will tell the true value of the stock. Actually a little less than a month ago the stock was at 1.75. Using your logic, it appears to be in a great deal of trouble, except I know that's just as silly a statement as yours was.
Look at the releases in that time frame, they truly appear to have one purpose and one purpose only(especially the 23rd and 24th). I still don't understand how they can claim $39 Mill in 1997 revenues when they acquired the company on Dec 31. I was told they can, but everyone knows they don't have dollar one of those revenues. But maybe I'm confused. There's your answer and I'm sure many won't like it and will think I'm an evil shorter, but that doesn't make it any less true. Remember, if you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question!! ;-)
