March 1998 has been a great month for earnings plays:

List of winning "Earnings Plays" made during the Month
of March 1998:

CXIPY,VTS,BWG,SCSWF,SSPE,FDO,RFMI,ESIO,WLT,MERX,LHSPF,ADVH,ITEQ,
FRAG,DH,KSS,RCMT,PFT*,STNRF,ITEQ,INTS,MBJI,APOL,PTEN,
RCGI,BKE,NKID,GRDG,MIKE,ABS,SMTK,QMDC,GNCI,DH,WTSLA*,STGE,
IO,LHSPF,GDYS**,KBH,PSUN,ADSK,COST

List of other plays on my watch list that turned out well
but were missed

LEN,MWD,TXI***(called as an important stock to watch on March 15,
has increased since that day), AHOM,

Plays that did not turn out well: GFI, JBIL (did not
hold until earnings but did own 2 days before earnings)

Non-valid plays that never came into play:(i.e. never
exhibited the volume and price rises that precedes
calling it a "BUY")
GADZ,SAMC,DLP,MIND. There were a few
others that never came into play for various reasons.

Plays that were excellent for pre-earnings run up and were sold
before earnings:
RCOT,RXSD

Plays that did not take off after good report:
SELAY,PFT

Kick myself for missing plays: MANU I've played
MANU for 2 consecutive earnings seasons but did not
call this season because of fears they might have
exposure to Asia.. OUCH!!

*PFT,WTSLA both were up on pre earnings but down the next day.
WTSLA since was up 2 points after a lackluster 2 day performance
but PFT still has not made a full recovery.

**GDYS had a good report with a warning that April store
sales might be a bit weaker. It was up on good earnings
expectation, down the following day and up for 3 consecutive
days thereafter.
