How long is OpenText's window of opportunity? I've been seeing announcements from some heavyweights lately that make me a little nervous. Just about every issue of PCWeek or InfoWorld the last few weeks has a review of new software that competes with LiveLink.

Microsoft is adding document management and workflow features to Exchange.
Lotus is beefing up Notes.
Novell is adding document management features to Groupwise.
Plus, I've seen reviews of at least two new packages from smaller players that sound like they directly compete with LiveLink: Intuitive's eRoom, and PlumTree's PlumTree Server.
Documentum, FileNet, etc. are not sitting still.

So, does this activity just validate OpenText's strategy with LiveLink, proving that there is money to be made in this niche, or should we be worried? How long do we have before the big boys take over?
