<< Can MU even survive being in this market...or can they possibly do mediocre...or maybe...can they even flourish? >>

MU will survive. The key is to recognize that we are dealing with a cyclical business...the name of the game is to buy at the *bottom* of the cycle, but we are not even close to the bottom yet.

<< Do you believe the PC100 interface is trivial for DRAM manufacturers with current fabs...or possibly another round of upgrades is a necessity? >>

No doubt there will be a modest premium for these devices in the short run. I don't think it will be very significant - keep in mind that only the top end PCs will use these things initially.

<< MU management seems reasonably smart, they have almost $billion dollars should they be using that money to buy MSFT stock to improve their profits? >>

No, but they should have a plan to reduce their dependence on the commodity DRAM business. Better late than never.

<< Do you sometimes wonder if you have all the pieces to the puzzle?...maybe somebody is playing a game with you and withholding those few key pieces until the puzzle is almost completed? >>

No.

<< I wonder what will happen to MU's stock price next week, given our current understanding of MU's fundamentals? >>

Gee, if only I could do that I'd be rich!
