If 150,000 was close to a third of Topfer's DELL holdings I am surprised but even if true that means he kept 69% (until he exercises some more options). These people have families, build houses, etc. In fact some one in Topfer's position would be an idiot to leave all his assets in the company he works for. To claim these relatively small sales by insiders says anything about the company good or bad is to tell us all that you know very little of the history of DELL or other fast growing companies that use options and/or stock to pay executives.

My brother-in-law is mid- to high-level at a big three auto company and sells a large portion of the stock he gets by exercising the options that are part of his compensation every year. Does this mean he thinks the company is in trouble? NOT!!
