The rumor of an acquisition by Sony is for a comapny called LSI. This is from the Upside website(www.upside.com) . "Rumor Inc. What? LSI Logic gaining 2 1/4 (almost 10 percent!) to 25 13/16? On no news? Well, wait a minute there are some token chat-room rumors. Some investors on Friday were saying on Yahoo Finance's chat room that CEO and founder Wilfred Corrigan is considering retirement and selling his beloved Milpitas, Calif. company to Sony (a major LSI customer)"
