On February 23, 1998, Mort Topfer sold 150,000 shares of stock worth $19.4 million. This constituted 31 percent of his entire holdings.

Where do you come up with 150k shares being 31% of entire holdings??? Have you ever looked at Dell's
proxy?? Do you have any inkling of an idea just how many shares
Mort controls?? I don't think you do... I don't think you have
a clue... I don't think you've ever seen one of Dell's proxy reports.

If you think insider selling by the top brass at Dell is a big deal,
why don't you do some research and find out how many shares
vested, unvested, compensation, awards etc. Mike, Mort, Meredith
et. al. actually control. Then, use a math trick called "division".
Take the number of shares sold and divide by shares controlled.
This will give a true percentage of holdings sold.

As incentive, the sum of all Mort's shares is closing in on a
quarter of a BILLION dollars... peeling off 19 million worth
is mouse nuts.

Happy hunting..
