There are countless stories such as yours, countless, with precisely the opposite ending and regardless of what happens, it's completely and utterly irrelevant, you will point to God as having decided the outcome. Sadly, there are tens of thousands of innocent, God-fearing souls who begged and pleaded with the utmost sincerity and conviction for intervention and received nothing. You will not hear anybody near those situations recounting their stories. This is probably the most cruel hoax of religion: those who are the victims of misfortune are seen as either deserving it or of having insufficient faith. If you had prayed to the God of Volcanos your circumstances would have not changed one iota. What sort of sick mind takes a recovery from illness as proof that they are favorites of God while so many more deserving are slaughtered each and every day. Go and tell Pauli Klaus' father she must have done something wrong or maybe not prayed hard enough, you fool.
