<<Yes. The FDA does. I'd be willing to bet the clinical data on Viagra was thorough and complete which is more than I can say about Vasomax.>>

Hank, you have not seen the Viagra data, yet even before it was approved, you had already concluded that Viagra was so superior to Vasomax, that Vasomax had no chance of approval. That is not scientific analysis, it is pure supposition. Schering and the other companies that Zonagen negotiated with had more access to information about Vasomax and Viagra than did you or anyone else on this board and they saw the merits of a marketing deal.

<<Apparently, the FDA must agree since they approved Viagra without questioning the legitimacy of the 70% success rate.>>

Have you seen the FDA commentary or questions regarding Viagra? Are you aware of the exact protocols of the testing on each drug? Might there have been differences in how questions were phrased or in the crafting of primary and secondary endpoints? Might this not have an effect on the statistics showing Viagra to be as superior as you seem so certain that it is?

I am wary of any opinion that does not allow for the possibility that one is wrong. There is much still to learn about impotency and the relative efficacy of its potential treatments. Anyone who claims certainty is almost always wrong about something.
