The link you refer to does point out a major difference between ms and
novl. While ms wants you to migrate to nt, novells aim is to provide support for both systems.

As a manager of a muli site network with over 10,000 users employing both nt and netware servers I consider the option of integrating both systems into one network serviced by novells nds a definite advantage.

As for nt 4.0 being a progression beyond netware; I suppose it's a matter of personal opinion. I would consider migrating any of my netware servers to nt 4 a downgrade in administrative functionality. Coupled with the fact that nt is less efficient at servicing client requests for file and print services nt does not appeal to me at all as an enterprise solution.

Example: I have one netware 4.1 server that services file, print and application requests for over 300 concurrent users and it is only a pentium 166. My experience with the nt servers on my network tells me that an nt server of the same configuration would be much less efficient and require major hardware upgrades at least, and I would probably still have to add another nt server to the mix to split concurrent usage just to get back to the same level of efficiency.

Just an opinion.
