Joe, the SEC filings are completed differently by each company. These reports are carefully crafted and expertly prepared. In order to get down to the brass tacks take a general position first and then start sifting. If I may give you some advice, it seems like you are doing the opposite.

So, try to get the big picture first. What is the company strategy and goals, what roadblocks do they face. Then start looking at the finer points.
