Here is a summary of our first 20 weeks by average player % gain/loss.
This represents the cumulative result of everyone's positions, long
and short. It is safe to say that every index has outperformed us as
a group. However, if this were real money, I doubt that many of the
losing positions would have been left open as long as they were.
Given that the penalty for a losing position in our game is the same
whether it is -0.01% or -99.99%, there is no incentive - as far as
points are concerned - to close a losing position.

On the other hand, excluding weeks 1 to 5, i.e., since week 6, which
was around the third week of December, our group average is up 16.9%,
which is comparable to the S&P500 (I don't have and can't easily find
the exact numbers...Plus, over the last 3 months, we are just about
dead even with the S&P500, even with our no loss incentive.
