Yellow Box standard on Win98 is tremendous news ! Well for the time being... tremendous rumor ! Does anyone knows of the release date of win98 ? Rhapsody will have a huge impact on the stock share. It will be Apple weapon to gain back market share. So far, everybody agrees of its superior qualities to other OS. If it is widely distributed, there is good rationale it will become a success. However, I can't see anyone able to relate this to the financial figures for Apple. Will Apple be able to make money as a Rhapsody licenser ? Will Mac users loose any incentive to buy a Powerpc-based machines ? Will Apple be able to sell PowerPC machine at equivalent prices of PC compatible one ? Will Rhapsody on both machines be comparable in terms of performance ? Will Apple be able to sell software as Microsoft did, to leverage its OS superiority ? Theese are the questions that will arrive in the next months. If we can answer them before anyone else, we will make money on this stock. (actually, make money once more ;-))
