Hi Eric, Linda, Scott and all, My Applescript... well, maybe a little background. I'm not really familar with AppleScript. I just took someone else's code (John Rethorst: April Fools' Scripts: available at versiontracker.com: an evidently very adept scripter: jcr2@cornell.edu) and changed it to reload a browser window instead of some Fool-ish repeater. So... your requests for changes are falling on 'dumb' ears. There are little experiments we could try, like making duplicate copies of the script to work different windows (I doubt this would work). Or adding some script code to ask the user for a URL (probably easy, but how to pass to the browser?). Or just Quitting the script temporarily while in an active window (I know that works!). It may be that for those who need to be refreshing a few browser windows simultaneously, using custom-URL-coded HTML files like AAPLtracker is the quickest (if not elegant) solution. This tactic works on background windows. OTOH, as Scott points out, OneClick may be the answer ('cep it costs!). I have and use OneClick myself, and it's great right out of the box, very shallow learning curve), but I have not taken the time to learn its powerful scripting environment. Anyway, unless someone helps *me*, I won't be able to contribute more on this script. rob |
