SGI has always made it pretty clear the NT systems would be an addition to the current product line -- NT just isn't in a state to do anything useful for customers in a broad slice of SGI's markets, so 'transition' would not appear to be a very accurate wording. Now, it wouldn't be the first time I see the press grovelling to the NT maniacs ;).
